EmergeNYC is a Latinx-led incubator and affinity network for socially engaged artists to develop their creative voice, explore the intersections of art and activism, and connect to a thriving community of BIPOC, migrant, and LGBTQIA+ practitioners who challenge dominant narratives through cultural resistance.

Welcome!

Thank you for showing interest in the in-person cohort of the Spring '25 cycle of Drag Performance: Between & Beyond Gender. The purpose of this informal application is to gather information about potential participants in order to select a balanced cohort of no more than 16 participants. The true cost of tuition is $600, with tiered pricing from $300 to $900, in addition to several full scholarships for QTBIPOC participants.

This application is due by 11:59pm on Monday, February 3rd. Interviews will be conducted on February 6th and 7th. You will be notified of your participation by February 10th. 

The first class begins Tuesday, February 25th, from 6:30-9:00pm and will be held at BAX at 421 5th Ave, Brooklyn NY 11215. 

Class dates: 

• February 25
• March 4, 11, 18, 25
• April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
• May 6, 12*, 13 (*extra optional rehearsal)

Tech Rehearsal dates: May 14-16

Dress Rehearsal & Culminating Showcase: May 17
